Notice
The Spanish Fencing Federation (RFEE) has published Circular 10-26 (24 June 2026), and it affects all of us. Here is the short version:
800-newton sabre glove: from this 2026-2027 season it is compulsory in every category from U15 to Veterans, in training as well as in competition.
Full kit in training too, fencing breeches included. The RFEE points out that training without regulation kit is a risk and that, after an accident, insurers could treat it as negligence.
Masks are not seats: sitting, kneeling or leaning on them, stepping on them or putting bags or weapons on top is forbidden. At competitions, a mask used like that is withdrawn until the equipment officer has checked it.
Circular 2-25 still applies as well: since 1 September 2025, an FIE underplastron of at least 800 N is compulsory in Cadet, Junior, U23, Senior and Veteran competitions.
Missing some kit, or not sure whether yours is valid? Ask your coach before the next tournament. The club shop has gloves, underplastrons and masks.
